The Great Circus of Moscow is big in all senses of the word, having been designed to host 1,544 spectators, seated inside the circular tent which is accessed through a tent foyer (see previous news).
The support platform on which the seats are fixed is made up of hundreds of lacquered wooden components that gradually rise from the central arena to the last row, the twelfth. Each module is manually finished to ensure perfect assembly and a continuous and absolutely ‘smooth’ transit surface, to the total benefit of spectator safety every single component has been hand-finished to ensure perfect assembly and a continuously smooth surface, to grant full spectator safety. The fire-retardant paint was given several times on both sides of every component: the top side which is walkable and the lower side which is not visible. The color of the panels is quite neutral and reflects the blue of the above tent. The red seats increase the overall chromatic contrast making the atmosphere bright and spectacular.
The 1544 seats are fixed and divided into 54 sectors for a total of 12 rows. On the platform, 4 exits for the antennas have been placed in order to hold the tent (see photo). Balustrades, barriers, access stairs to the galleries, are all made to measure, matching in shapes and colors and above all designed to be assembled endless times!
